Every Third Saturday (ETS) began in 2010 with the intention of supporting homeless and struggling veterans with their physical needs. To date, ETS had distributed over 125,000 items to veterans and their families. Items include winter boots, coats, hygiene items, gift cards for food and fuel, bicycles, and clothing.
As the needs of the veteran community have evolved, ETS has evolved as well. Services include a resource network called Pop Smoke, and a 12-week course called the Warrior’s Path which supports veterans who need a fresh start and are motivated towards positive change.
The mission of Nexus Community Partners is to build more engaged and powerful communities of color by supporting community-building initiatives that expand community wealth and foster social and human capital.
We work with 30+ organizations and 1,000+ individuals to strengthen the capacity of non-profits, leaders, and networks to create strong, healthy, and vibrant communities in the Twin Cities region and beyond. In all of our work, Nexus supports strong, equitable, and just communities in which all residents are engaged, are recognized as leaders, and have pathways to opportunities.
At People Incorporated, we believe mental health is community health. We embrace models of care that support individuals “where they are at,” seeking the highest level of autonomy and independence.
Our mental health professionals can be found in schools, homeless encampments, crisis centers, treatment programs, and integrated into many community settings. Your gifts help your neighbors, including those who are the most vulnerable, find hope and solutions through high-quality integrated mental health care.
